STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Here are some of the opportunities to get involved in student activities at Ware Shoals High School:
FCA - Fellowship of Christian Athletes
FCA meets on Thursday mornings - all are welcome. We share Bible verses and devotions, and occasionally have guest speakers.
Advisor: Chip Tinsley.
FBLA - Future Business Leaders of America
The FBLA mission is prepare students for careers in business and industry. We help with CATE day in the spring, and our future plans include becoming more involved in the FBLA national organization and participating in fundraising and competitive events.
Advisors: Leslie Traynham and Julie Madden.
FFA - Future Farmers of America
The FFA mission is to prepare students for leadership opportunities and career success through agricultural education. We have a yearly plant sale to raise money for our agricultural program, and we sponsor Farm Day in the spring.
Advisor: Ryan Gambrell.
Student Council
Student Council is a leadership organization that promotes service and student engagement in the school community. We meet at 7:30 on Wednesday mornings, and all are welcome. One of our main events Christmas for Kids, and fundraising activities to fund this project.
Advisor: Genie McDill.
Yearbook
Yearbook is a club and a class - students take pictures at school events and create and design the yearbook. The class meets 7th period.
Advisor: Janie Guess.
