Middle School Cheerleading Announcement
To all rising 7 and 8
• We will offer two choices for cheer tryouts (July 6-9 ORJuly 13-16) and students are required to have a current physical with accompanying paperwork (valid for 2020-2021 school term) to be able to participate in the tryouts.
• We will be having physicals at Ware Shoals High School on June 24 starting at 2:30 pm. The cost will be $25.00. There are physical forms in the front office or you can get the form online at the www.schsl.org (forms) website. You will need to have the forms signed by your parent or guardian before you come for your physical. You will need to bring and wear a mask for your physical. You can also get your physical through Doctor’s Care for $15.00. Any questions please contact Ms. O’Dell at kodell@gwd51.org
• To register for tryouts, you must email Ms. O’Dell with the following information no later than June 24 at 12 noon-
(1) Student full name and upcoming grade level
(2) Parent/guardian name and phone number
• (3) Indicate if you are available July 6-9, July 13-16, or BOTH. Please indicate BOTH if you are available for either set of tryout dates because this makes planning much easier. We are only allowed 9 girls at a time in the practices with Ms. O’Dell and she will contact you with specific times/details once registration ends. All scheduling depends on number of girls participating due to health/safety guidelines.
• We will let everyone know our guidelines for socialdistancing and safety once registration ends and tryout schedules are created.
