The Ware Shoals High School Bass Team was excited to have Paul Gettys and Jeff Snyder speak at the group's second meeting. Paul, an 8-year professional tournament fisherman and certified Lowrance instructor, shared many of the tricks you need to know to safely maximize your time in the water.
One of his favorite lakes to fish is Lake Greenwood. It has 212 miles of shoreline. Paul and Jeff shared some great fishing stories they had on this lake and others. He emphasized the importance of using good judgment when posting on social media sites. He also gave the students information on how to get sponsored.
The students' favorite part was the trivia questions at the end and a chance to win prizes. Hunter Daniel won a new rod, Will Lindley won some fishing lures, and Justin McCarty won a prototype bait not on the market yet. Everyone walked away winners and with big smiles and a bag full of goodies.
