The Ware Shoals School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve a recommendation from the Ware Shoals Athletic Association to name the softball field at Ware Shoals High School the “Mickey Davis Field” in honor of the legendary athlete and coach from the WSHS Class of 1960.
A committee is planning a naming ceremony and has launched a fundraising campaign for the following: field renovations, scoreboard, sound system, and dedication display.
