The board repealed policy ADD-Face Coverings in response to Gov. McMaster's executive order and recently revised CDC guidelines. Students who submit a DHEC waiver form are not required to wear face coverings. Staff members who are fully vaccinated may also opt out of wearing face coverings.
Plexiglass barriers are being removed from schools this week, making it easier to move about.
We are planning a vaccination clinic for children aged 12 and up, staff members, and community members. The date will be shared as soon as it is confirmed.
We are encouraged by the declining COVID case numbers in our community and our state. We anticipate returning to normal operations when students return to school July 22.
